Spring has come to Campings Tarragona, filling all our corners with flowers and colors. The campsites are already about to open their doors to the 2019 season and all that remains is to schedule a getaway.
The Campings of Tarragona love families, and when we say families, they are the entire family, with a pet included. There are many of our establishments that already accept them and have services for them such as: dog pools, agility parks, pipican … Do you want to know what they are? Check them out here.
But that is not all. In the province of Tarragona, we bet for a full stay, with beaches where pets are welcome, where they can run, splash and bathe in shallow water.
So, take paper and pen that we started:
Playa Bon Caponet en l’Ametlla de Mar
In the Roques Daurades Urbanization is the Bon Caponet cove, about 50m long. It is located in a very quiet area. Its waters are shallow, and the sand is gravel. A good option to enjoy a day at the beach.

Cala del Cementiri en l’Ametlla de Mar
Small cove about 20m long and 15m wide, and very easy to access. It is not sand, but it is made of round stones. A good option if you do not want your dog to be a kibble.

Playa de la Platjola en Alcanar
This beach has a length of about 300m and a width of about 8m. It stands out for having very clean waters. The floor is perfect to go with a pet, since they are small boulders. It is part of the group of beaches and coves known by the name of Timbes, with a high environmental and ecological value, which is why it is considered a virgin beach.

Playa de la Basa de la Arena – Delta del Ebro
This beach is one of the favorites to go with your pet. It is located within the Ebro Delta Natural Park. It is a virgin, extensive and isolated beach, with fine sand, shallow and calm waters.
Playa de la Riera de l’Alforja en Cambrils
Since 2016, Cambrils welcomes our pets on the Riera de Alforja beach. It is a section located on one side of the Alforja stream between the Paseo de las Palmeras and a small forest. On this beach you can even find a pet shower!
